ELLEN WOLF
Ellen Wolf is a Danish visual artist living and working in Rome. She began her training in Denmark and concluded it in Italy at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts. Among the privileged themes of her work are everyday life, the recovery of the value of simple affections and the awareness of their lability. The love felt soon turns into memory, the image disappears, the work of art attempts the impossible task of retaining life. These themes are explored through languages and techniques as diverse as photography, ceramics, embroidery, installation, graphic art, and, above all, drawing and painting.
His 2020 dissertation “Being” expresses a personal reflection, both theoretical and practical, on the utility of the useless and the fact that the greatest wonders are often hidden in the smallest things.
