EIJA RANTA
Eija Ranta is a movement artist of Finnish origin. Her artistic practice is rooted in movement, through which she explores the essence of bodily experiences using various expressive means. Ranta’s projects range from traditional venues such as galleries and museums to unconventional spaces and site-specific works.
Ranta holds a Master’s degree in Acting from the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy in Russia and a Master’s degree in Visual Culture and Contemporary Art from the School of Arts, Design and Architecture at Aalto University in Helsinki.
She currently lives on a small island in northern Finland and in Spigno Saturnia, Italy.
