GRAZIANO RICCELLI

Graziano Riccelli (Avellino, 1998) lives and works between Avellino and Naples. He obtained a master’s degree in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, completing his education after graduating from the P.A. De Luca Art High School in Avellino. In 2023, he won the “Generazione” Prize dedicated to Mimmo Rossetta, curated by the Art Days – Naples event, and in 2024 he received the Pio Monte della Misericordia Prize in Naples, for the “Seven Works for Mercy” exhibition, which will lead to him exhibiting in the contemporary rooms of Pio Monte. Among his main exhibitions, “Ephemeral Weaves”, a solo exhibition of the artist in 2024 at the Royal Palace of Portici, curated by Simone Sensi, stands out.

His work explores the interaction between nature and human intervention through site-specific installations that evoke a dialogue between local culture and natural environments. Through his ongoing artistic research, Riccelli studies the complex connection between nature and human existence, focusing on actions that alter environmental balances. His practice aims to restore value and dignity to often overlooked plant species, transforming them into protagonists of his installations.
