NOSTALGIA FOR THE FUTURE
Nostalgia del Futuro (NdF) is the ambient project through which Luca Bigote explores the more experimental and meditative side of his musical taste.
Officially launched in 2019 with an exclusive sound design for the Japanese platform Hamon Radio, between 2020 and 2022 NdF was one of the flagship shows of the Milan-based web radio Mondonero. During this residency, NdF also collaborated with motion graphic designer Gloria Ciceri, creating a special audio-video set still available on YouTube.
In “August 2024, thanks to participation in the first edition of Radici Sonore, the foundations were laid for the” artistic evolution of the project, now aimed at on-site performances and multidisciplinary artistic interventions.
The main theme of NdF’s research is time: an invitation to reflect on its passage, perception, and irreversibility.
In this “context, sound becomes a tool for introspection and access to a personal archive of imagined and moldable futures by” imagination, in contrast to a lived past indissolubly embedded in the “intensity of” human experience, made of memories and recollection.
