Seminaria 2025: Open Call for Artist Residency in Maranola (LT)

Maranola, February 20, 2025Seminaria Sogninterra announces the Open Call for its Artist Residency in Maranola (Italy), offering three artists the opportunity to spend a month immersed in the daily life of the medieval village while developing site-specific and community-oriented projects to be presented at the Seminaria Biennale of Public Art 2025.

A Unique Experience Between Art and Community

Since 2011, SEMINARIA has welcomed over 80 artists to the medieval town of Maranola (a district of Formia, in the province of Latina, Italy) to create public art projects in dialogue with the place and its community.

In February 2025, SEMINARIA is launching an open call for artists willing to reside in Maranola for a full month (May 2025) while developing a project for the eighth edition of the Seminaria Biennale of Public Art.

The Seminaria Artist Residency, scheduled from May 1 to May 30, 2025, is open to three artists whose research is site-specific and community-oriented, and who are eager to engage with local residents, foster cultural exchange, and explore alternative ways of producing and sharing art.

This partially funded residency offers a month of creative immersion in Maranola, including free accommodation, access to workspaces, curatorial and technical support, and participation in a program of activities such as field trips and workshops. The residency culminates in the realization of the selected projects at the Seminaria Biennale (August 24–31, 2025).
