Paolo Bellipanni (1988), composer and sound designer, explores the emotional and conceptual connection between violence and tranquility, between imposing sound walls and rarefied ambient landscapes. Previously active under the moniker K’an, his practice is rooted in drone music and the timbral experimentation of contemporary ambient, combining electronics and string instruments in a profound digital exploration.
His sound investigation focuses on the temporal manipulation of sound as an event, a flow that expands and contracts into a perceptual experience of suspension. With several albums released between Italy and the United States, Bellipanni continues to develop a sound poetics balanced between tension, silence, and transformation.
