ENERGY VALUE stems from the artist’s desire to explore one of the last moments of social life and to preserve its rituality, that of the meal.
Over time, survival instinct has been turned to a sharing and energy exchange. In Laura Cionci’s “opera” this moment moves into the public dimension. Everyone here is involved and contributes in creating a flow that is also nourished by the space in which it is spent.
The project is articulated in two different moments merged together: action and vision. In the first phase, research and documentation on the flavours and knowledge of the village, inhabitants were involved in the organization of dinners in the alleys and on the panoramic terrace of the village.
The faces and the culinary secrets of these extraordinary community dwellers were then represented in a photo exhibition and in a video installation.
